Roles & Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive anesthetic care for elective and emergency surgical procedures
Perform pre-operative assessments, risk stratification, and anesthetic planning
Administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care as appropriate
Provide intra-operative and post-operative monitoring and pain management
Participate in perioperative and critical care support, including rapid response and emergency situations
Collaborate closely with surgeons, nursing staff, and allied health professionals to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with hospital and regulatory requirements
Participate in on-call and after-hours coverage according to departmental rota
Contribute to clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement initiatives
Support education, training, and CME activities as required
Desired Candidate Profile
Medical Degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent) from a recognized institution
Completed specialist training in Anesthesiology from an accredited program
Recognized specialist certification (e.g., Arab Board, European Board, UK CCT, US Board, or equivalent)
Eligibility for DOH (Department of Health Abu Dhabi) Specialist licensure
Minimum 3 5 years post-specialist experience preferred
Strong clinical decision-making, crisis management, and teamwork skills
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural hospital environment
