Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive examinations to diagnose periodontal diseases and conditions.
Develop and execute individualized treatment plans, including surgical and non-surgical interventions.
Perform a variety of periodontal procedures such as scaling, root planing, and implant placements.
Collaborate with general dentists and other specialists to provide integrated patient care.
Educate patients about good oral hygiene practices and the importance of periodontal health.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Engage in continuous education and stay updated with advancements in periodontology.
Requirements
Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
Completion of a specialized residency program in periodontics.
Current licensure to practice dentistry in the state.
2+ years of experience in a periodontal practice is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interactions.
